Story behind SODA
Meet in Berlin
In 2011, while Sophia was working for a Chinese brand company, she attended a Trade Exhibition in Germany and met David, who was the Managing Director and Co-owner of Widget, a UK Distribution company.
David first visited China in 2003 when he attended the wedding of one of his best friends. His first visit to Shenzhen was in 2005, and he then became a regular visitor.
It was an experience he would never forget, witnessing the massive transformation of the region at first hand, and it became clear to David how important it was to enter China market.
After their first meeting, David and Sophia started to discuss a possible collaboration together to promote selected brands in China, even though they would face too many challenges for channels,resources,budget...
Launch SODA Global Marketing in Shenzhen
Sophia and David realized their "Bridge Work" really can help many non-China brands and companies to develop their business by saving time and money.
David and Sophia decided to establish their company, SODA Communications Co in Hong Kong and created "SODA Global Marketing" as their brand in 2018 to act as bridge to and from China and the rest of the world.
The name SoDa combines the first part of Sophia’s and David’s first names!
Now we have offices in US, UK, Shenzhen and HongKong with a growing team of Professionals around the World committed to speeding up and expanding your business in China
